Soft Waves
Not all C- and S-curves need be so intricate that you get lost in them (although that is nice, too). Soft undulation captivates and can also sweep you along for a ride.
This piece insisted on showing off soft lines and wide broad surfaces of its grain and texture. When I genuinely partner with the work, which is my most sincere objective, I honor the nature and leaning, if you will, of the piece. So, here we have a curvaceous canvass for the dark lines and deep natural etchings imbued by the wind-shake process.
