I had to count on my fingers, because it didn’t seem possible that for eight straight years there have been Pollitt sculptures at SOFA Chicago.  And some of those years my work also appeared at SOFA New York and SOFA Santa Fe.

It all began in 2006 with my wood art represented by del Mano Gallery, straight through 2011.  In that same year, 2011, I had the distinction of double representation at SOFA Chicago in wood and glass.  Since 2011, and now again in the upcoming 2013 show, it has been my honor and privilege for my glass sculptures to be represented by Thomas R. Riley Galleries at SOFA…our third year together.

These four pieces will be in Chicago. And so will I — really looking forward to the inevitable “old home week” greetings with SOFA friends. And also hoping to see a few of the new glass community friends Gaye and I met this year – at Wheaton Village GlassWeekend2013 and in Seattle and Tacoma at the many glass art events we attended during our five-day excursion. If you are attending, please stop by and say “Hello.”

Opening Night Preview is Thursday, October 31 (2013), from 5 pm to 9 pm at Chicago Navy Pier. The Exhibition runs Friday & Saturday, November 1 & 2, from 11 am to 7 pm, and Sunday, November 3, from Noon to 6 pm.
