Morphing began here
The first of my Morph Series, this piece was an extension of my ribbon pieces – Up Draft and Down Force.
Although I’ve often said that I will take my inspiration wherever I can find it, I never expected to find it at a party in a bowl of potpourri.
But that is truly what inspired this piece – a small bright green mysterious organic curly-q of unknown substance and origin. Was it originally vegetable, animal or mineral? All I knew was that the shape was intriguing and contained many of my favorite rhythmic “c” and “s” curves. I had to have it! And my friends, although looking at me askance, were delighted to indulge my seeming insanity.
